That could explain why you are being led astray. So, just to clarify, people that are not healthy millionaires leading successful careers have a lack of faith? By the way, last time I checked, Jesus was born in a MANGER, not a palace, he fled from persecution during His entire earthly ministry (doesn't seem very prosperous to me), and he rode into town on a DONKEY to show that He was king (not exactly a picture of wealth, wouldn't you say?). All of those things- and countless more- took place BEFORE His death. Look at the beatitudes in Matthew 5 starting in verse 3 if you need a reminder of the characteristics of those who'll be blessed. I'm saddened that you've convinced yourself that you DESERVE to be healthy, wealthy and prosperous while here on earth...you've degraded the one, true, holy God to a "genie in a bottle" who will give you every desire just as soon as you speak!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7711550997062819324.post-49875580484536214822008-10-11T11:39:00.000-06:002008-10-11T11:39:00.000-06:00Thanks anonymous for being concerned about me bein...Thanks anonymous for being concerned about me being led astray. I have personally done the study and research needed and in fact have witnessed this 'teaching' at work in my life and others lives. I am providing lots of scripture, so if anyone wants to research it, they can. I've already done the work.

As for the label "health, wealth, and prosperity' doctrine, do you believe that God doesn't desire those things for His children? Why wouldn't the most loving Father ever want His children to be healthy, have more than what they need, and be successful in this life? I just don't get why so many people think that we are more holy if we are poor and suffering. Jesus wasn't poor or suffering until He allowed Himself to be taken to be crucified. Look it up if you don't believe me.
I think people don't want to buy into this because it requires them to do the work. It's easy to say, well whatever God's will is...than to stand on His Word in the midst of adversity and not be moved off it.

God is sovereign, but He is on the Throne, His Spirit is in us on the earth, and that's how He works. Satan is the 'god of this world'. It's up to us to obey the Lord, do what He says and walk in faith. Praying in faith, talking in faith and thinking in faith is how things get done.Anneathearthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01188325756630224625noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7711550997062819324.post-74028541441385457722008-10-11T00:03:00.000-06:002008-10-11T00:03:00.000-06:00This is a very dangerous teaching called the "heal...This is a very dangerous teaching called the "health, wealth, and prosperity" doctrine. It is NOT biblical. Do some research on it and please seek the LORD to forgive you and guide you back to fellowship with true believers (those who follow the "health, wealth and prosperity" aka "Word Faith" crowd very well may not be saved...they are changing the nature of God with their teaching...very dangerous). Mrs. Darling gave you some excellent advice. She is right that Satan has to ask permission from God before he does anything to us...think about it, if Satan didn't have to ask, God wouldn't be sovereign, would He? The book of Job is clear on that point.
Here is one place to start your research.
http://www.apologeticsindex.org/p/p23.html

I pray you receive this truth in love, knowing that I'm only telling you so that you may get back into sound doctrine.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
