HA! Yeah well, my laundry is piling up whilst I work on the videos...oh well, only so many things I can do at once. I am sure I should be working on packing for the move and all too, but can't seem to get on it...

Beautiful dresses!
I had a friend growing up whose mom was talented at sewing like you are. She was always making dolls, dresses, etc. for her. OH I had the worst time coveting her gorgeous mommy-made things!!

I am really enjoying your videos on dress making!! I think maybe...just maybe...I may get some nerve up to try it myself! I have a granddaughter and maybe a little sundress would be a great place to start. My 12 years old would need sleeves, so maybe I will wait til I get a sundress down first! I can't wait to see you attach the skirt.

Jessica,
I went back and looked at your Sunbonnet Sue quilt. It is darling! I made one almost exactly like it at the SAME time you were making yours...My granddaughter was born in September 08, so I had worked on it over the summer. I did mine a little different than you did...they look like the same pattern though. I hand appliqued mine down with needle and thread and then hand quilted the quilt. I do alot of hand work, as it is my favorite form of needlework. Takes a long time, but it is very enjoyable for me. I showed a picture of my grandaughter's quilt at the end of this recent post

My blocks are 12 inches with 2 inch sashing so it measures 50x50. It was a fun quilt to make...kinda like playing dress up or paper dolls picking out all the little matching dresses and bonnets!
