Things are better

So far today has been much better! I think the Lord healed me and I also started taking some vitamin B6, which I read would help with morning sickness. My husband bought me some ginger capsules and real gingerale just in case though. I have a very caring and sweet husband.

My oldest daughter is still out of school, so this week has been very relaxed. I don't get up till around 7am, and my husband has been either starting breakfast or making all of it before work. We lounge around and I work on things gradually- put laundry in the washer, do the dishes, sweep, straighten the house etc.

Today I hope to finish the laundry and if all is well, run to the store. We need some staples and the girls got some Christmas money, so I want them to get books for their new LeapPads. Anyways, hopefully after this week I'll be better able to get up early and get back into routine. My sleep has been off the last couple of weeks, but it's getting better thank the Lord.

Right now my routine is: get up and eat
clean up kitchen and start washer
rest for awhile 30-45 minutes
Get dressed and clean up bedrooms
work on the day's work
make meals and eat every two hours
Tidy up the house a few times each day

My husband and I cleaned the house pretty good over the weekend and I vacuumed yesterday, so I shall be happy with that.

I finally told my parents. It went ok, but I don't feel perfectly at peace about it. I'm just continuing to pray that they will be fine with it.

I can't believe you think 7am is late to be getting up. If I got up at 7am on a regular basis I would think I was doing pretty well : )

If you don't get your parents' approval, it doesn't matter. You have God's approval. And, the Bible tells us that when we get married, we LEAVE our parents, and cleave to our spouse and start our own family unit. (We leave and cleave.)

Hence, your parents have no say or claim over your ovum and your husband's seed. You go ahead and have as many children as your heart desires. It's all between God, you, and your husband.

Unless your parents are cleaning hour house, cooking your meals, caring for your children, and bringing home the bacon, they really have no say about your quiver. They had their family and their chosen number of children, now it's YOUR turn.

Give up seeking their approval, it doesn't matter. What matters is God and YOUR family unit.

God bless, and again, congrats on the new arrow for your quiver. Four is Fun! :-D

Yes, what you say is true Candy. It's just that we have a very close relationship, and it's hard for me to just be ok with it if they aren't supportive, simply because they always have been supportive.

After Matt, my mom is my best friend. I know it's mostly concern for my health etc. but they can't help anything by worrying. They do help occasionally with things like clothes for the kids or something like that, but I almost never ask and always repay if I do. It will just take time for them to get used to it. It's taken me a few weeks to get used to it as well.

I can't imagine not being thrilled about another grandchild! Hopefully they will come around and be excited for you and supportive of you & your choices. :) (((((HUGS)))))

Even though you are a grown woman, in your heart it is hard to do something without the approval of your parents. Especialy if they do not want you to do something. Time and love will heal it all. Before you know it, the new little one will be here and they will again love it, but tell you not to have any more just like the las time. Don't worry too much about it. Time will make it all better. Just love them like they love you and it will all work out. I also believe in cleaving to your husband and living your own life with him, but we can do it without being disrespectful or sarcastic to our own parents. God bless you my little cyber friend.

I know how you feel. It is so hard to go against your mother's wishes. I am going through the same thing with this baby. My mom swears she is going to hold me hostage until my tubes are tied this time. I think she is joking;) But she really doesn't like me having kids. She says she worries about my health, but she doesn't like the time that children take up. This is going to be a sore subject in the very near future. I will pray for you. And be happy in knowing you are doing God's will. Blessings.

This baby is a blessing from God, but I understand why you feel the need for your parent's full support. I will be praying for you! I am so glad that you are feeling better!
