I finally got to talk to my friend, Amanda, last night. She is doing very well and wants to get things right again. I made sure she understood that we all still love her and accept her and want to help her stay on the right path. You know, David sure did make a lot of mistakes in the Bible, yet God still called him a "Man after My own heart". She is much encouraged and did make it to her new job yesterday. Now if she can just get into her own house away from the belittling parents :)
Yesterday Alexa started preschool at a local church from 8:30-11am on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. I am so impressed with how organized and how neat everything looked. I can even drive thru the pick-up area to get her so I don't have to heft Sarah around and go in to get Alexa. She loved it of course and is excited to go back.
I've been sewing Sarah some new dresses from the Sensibility Romantic girls pattern- pretty easy since I modified it, only I made the dresses a little too short. Oh well, she's got the bloomers to wear too. I will have pictures up soon.
I found out my husband will be gone next Mon-Thursday- well of course! Something needed to happen the week of the church feast! Grrrr...I'm not sure how I'm going to do this, but I can't cancel it again. I will not allow myself to even think that. A couple of older ladies at church have offered to help me in whatever way possible, so if I can figure out something they can do than I will take them up on it. Today I am practicing recipes again- this time with the meat (I'm not doing lamb, too hard to find here) and veggies (honey glazed carrots and whole onions) and dessert. (honey cake) I may also make a meal for a friend who had a baby last week.
Busy and more busy...
I plan to create a new daily/weekly schedule soon and post that as well, in time.
Anyways, that's what's going on now.

I am so happy that Amanda is doing well. I will hope she continues doing well and I'm sure with you and yours to be there for her and help guide her that she will.

Ha,ha...I know what you mean. I'm sure most people think I'm getting rid of my kids, but as much as I wanted to homeschool, it just may not be right for us at this point. Maybe when Sarah is ready for school we can try it out, depending on Leiah.
I'm also of the opinion that if we take all the Christian kids out of school, what Light will be there for all the non-believers? I was in public school most of my life, and I still loved the Lord and witnessed to others,even at a very young age.
So glad to hear your friend is doing well! She should see the situation with her parents and just "noise" that is there to strengthen her resolve.
I'd suggest taking up the ladies from church to help watch the little ones so you can prepare. I know I keep asking but after all is done and you can come up for air would love the recipe for the honey cake!

Good point. I agree that its all individual. At this point, we'd be crazy to send our kids to the schools around us. :) Trust me, its not good. :) But if it were I might feel differently.
Blessedmomma- the honey cake flopped majorly :( I made another one a few weeks ago that tasted great, but didn't look too good. So, that's it for the honey cake. I am going to make baklava with an orange infused syrup tomorrow and see how that works.
